To launch a certain game, click its respective shortcut. To get fans prepared for Half-Life's return, Valve makes all four of the previous main games in the FPS series free to play until March. In the Valve folder, there are four shortcuts that will launch the games. The physgun allows you to move and manipulate objects with the help of physics. Extract it and place the Valve folder inside Program Files.ģ. JBMod enables the physgun in Half-Life 2 (first seen in pre-release tech demos such as those shown at E3 in 2003), which was ultimately cut from the final game. Singleplayer modes seem to work fine, but I was not able to connect to online servers since they rely on Steam. I manually extracted all the game files using WinRAR and GCFScape to skip installing Steam, then dropped in an emulated Steam.dll (courtesy of RevEmu) to trick the game into starting. People who purchased the game legitimately and want to play it on these operating systems are no longer able to do so through no fault of their own.
The mod is free, and adds a number of new features to the base. This is a problem because Steam no longer supports XP or Vista.
